Preparing your portrait session with PBS Studio.
What are your responsibilities?
We can take great pictures, but we are not great hair stylists or dry cleaners.
HOW MANY OUTFITS DO I GET?
Our session styles are all based on time. There are outfit recommendations for each, but those may fluctuate. If you sign up for a session that is typically 3 outfits, but are late arriving for your session, you might only get to be photographed in 2. Please have all your clothing neatly pressed, wrinkles will show.
HAIR
Hairstyles are such a personal preference. Make sure your hair is exactly the way you wish it to appear in the finished photographs. GIRLS, BANGS HANGING IN YOUR FACE WILL CAUSE UNFLATTERING SHADOWS. USE HAIRSPRAY TO HOLD IT BACK. We cannot be responsible for a bad hair day. Waiting to do your hair or makeup at your session time will dramatically shorten your camera room time and number of images that will be taken.
PERSONAL PREFERENCES
Make sure to tell us anything you had in mind for your senior portraits. The more you tell us about your ideas and style, the more we can create images that reflect who you really are!
PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
We feel nobody knows your daughter better than you do. We value your input during the session. Giving you what you want is our sincere goal! Although your initial thought may be that you feel your presence may make your child uncomfortable, we have found the opposite to be true. It is really a fun experience to share with your teenager.
If you are unable to attend the session, we would greatly appreciate some input. Here at PBS Studio we are flexible, creative and unique photographers, but we are not mind readers. What might be the ideal to one parent could be deemed unacceptable to another. Please take a moment to write down any request and send it with your senior to the session. Make note of expression preferences, if you are trying to match previous senior's portrait, or if you have specific concerns.
YEARBOOK REQUIREMENTS
We work with students from high schools all around the county and state. Yearbook guidelines change every year. Please find out the specific requirement from your school, and be sure to tell us prior to taking the pictures.
ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY - $15 OFF
There is some paperwork and things we need to take care of before your photographer can begin your session. If you arrive 15 minutes early we will apply a $15 credit toward your order. It is so important to us that you are READY TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED at your scheduled time. We often have many appointments back to back, and we will not run over your reserved appointment time into another senior's session.
MUSIC
If you have a favorite CD, you can bring it with you to play while you are being photographed. HOWEVER, please keep this music "clean" and relatively calm.
